Urinetown is hilarious… simply the most gripping and galvanizing theater experience in town.” -The New York Times

Welcome to Urinetown! A dark and dreary not-so-distant future, where citizens have to pay to pee. Private toilets have been banned and a malevolent corporation has capitalized on one of humanity’s most basic needs in order to monopolize and take control of the city. Urinetown is a three-time Tony Award-winning musical satire that prods at corporate mismanagement, capitalism, bureaucracy, politics, and even musicals themselves. Remember to use the facilities before joining us for this hilariously funny and touchingly honest romp! Can a hero emerge and rally a revolution to take back their freedom?

Content Advisory Some mature content, a gunshot, screaming, and strobe lighting effects.

Urinetown is approximately one hour and 50 minutes in length, plus a fifteen minute intermission.

Program

Urinetown was produced on Broadway in September, 2001 by the Araca Group and Dodger Theatricals in association with TheaterDreams, Inc., and Lauren Mitchell.
Urinetown is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI). All authorized performance materials are also supplied by MTI. mtishows.com
