Facility & Rentals

Rentals are available for performances and studio use. A keyholder is required to access and lock up the facility for rentals outside business hours. Recurring or longer-term renters with an established relationship may request the training to have this fee waived. Keyholder rates are $25/hr.

A technician is required for any technical elements in the Performance Hall beyond basic audio playback and work lights. Guest technicians must be approved by our Production Manager in order to handle College equipment. College technician rates are $35/hr.

A Capital Improvement Fee will be charged for large-scale or Performance Hall rental to account for utilities and wear and tear on the facility.

All renters must provide proof of liability insurance (minimum $2 million) before the rental use showing the Canadian Heritage Arts Society (owner of CCPA), St. Mary’s Church, and the Anglican Church of Canada as named insured.

Availability

Longer-term rentals for studios and the Performance Hall rentals can be accommodated between May and August. Availability is limited to select evenings and weekend days during the school year, as College spaces are in high demand from September to April.

Rental Support

Professional and emerging artists and groups can apply to partner with the College for increased support through donated space, or greater discounts on rental fees. Contact the College at rentals@ccpacanada.com to apply.

Costume, Prop, & Equipment Rentals

The College makes our props and costumes available to established and emerging artists and arts organizations. We will not rent to private groups (costume parties, wedding receptions, etc.). Professional companies, community groups, emerging artists, and registered charities are eligible for discounts to rental fees, or a waiver of the rental fee in favour of in-kind support. Please contact the Production Manager at production@ccpacanada.com for information on the rental pricing structure or to book a time to view items.

Some equipment requires a certain level of skill, and renters will be asked to demonstrate their ability to operate the equipment. Some prop and costume pieces are not available for rental. Rentals may not be available during the week prior to, as well as the week following, a production. The College reserves the right to refuse rentals.
