A triple-threat with a passion for musical theatre and contemporary singing styles, Yanik is a graduate from the University of Montreal (B.Mus-Voice Performance), the Canadian College of Performing Arts and the Chemainus Theatre Acting Internship Program.
As vocal coach, music director and accompanist, he participated in tours and music festivals across Canada and Europe, and has been teaching musical theatre at VOS Musical Theatre, Boston Dance Collective, No Strings Theatre and Kaleidoscope Performing Arts Studio.

Music directing credits include: A Chorus Line (VOS Musical Theatre), The Little Mermaid (FSMT), Jacques Brel, 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (Langham Court Theatre), Pippi Longstocking, Little Shop Of Horrors, The Addams Family, Hair, Singin’ In The Rain, The Rocky Horror Show, Aladdin (Kaleidoscope Theatre).
He also directed for companies in Montreal (Broadway II) and Toronto (Bye Bye Birdie, Seussical), and has been artistic director for Pacifique en Chanson in Vancouver for the past seven years.
He is a member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing, Associate of Trinity College London-UK and holds certification in Somatic Voicework™-The LoVetri Method from the CCM Vocal Pedagogy Institute at Shenandoah University, Virginia.
Yanik is also on faculty at the VCM School of Contemporary Music and keeps busy with his own teaching studio specializing in musical theatre & contemporary commercial music.
