Spotlight on Alumni: Vincent Tong

Having limited experience in singing, dancing and acting, CCPA allowed me to train in all three disciplines, something not all schools provide. It also taught me the importance of professionalism and being a team player, while embracing my own personal uniqueness. After my year at CCPA I felt confident stepping into the real world to face the joys and challenges of the biz.

Vincent Tong graduated from the Canadian College of Performing Arts in 2001. Since completing his training at CCPA, he has appeared in productions across the country including Mamma Mia! and The Lord Of The Rings for Mirvish Productions, La Cage Aux Folles (Jessie Award nom.) for Playhouse Theatre, Peter & the Star Catcher, Beauty & The Beast, The 20th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (Jessie Award win), History Boys (Jessie Award nom.), and Altar Boyz (Jessie Award nom.) all for the Arts Club. Vincent works consistently as a voiceover artist, lending his talents to shows that include: Lego’s Ninjago, My Little Pony, Sausage Party, Death Note, Bob The Builder, Super Monsters, DinoTrux, Beyblade Burst, and The Deep. Vincent has been nominated for 3 Leo Awards; once for Best actor in Web series, and twice for Best Voice in Animation. In 2017 alone he was nominated 3 times for Best Voice at the UBCP/ACTRA Awards.
