Kathy St. John is a fundraising and communications professional with more than 25 years of experience in the non-profit sector. She began her career in the arts as a publicist, before moving into the social services sector in the mid-90s, beginning with the YWCA of Canada. In 2000, Kathy took on the role of interim (later permanent) Executive Director at Dying With Dignity. Kathy returned to the west coast (Victoria this time) in 2008 to take on the role as the first-ever Development Manager at the Belfry Theatre. Upon leaving the Belfry after six successful seasons, she enjoyed working with a number of non-profit organizations in the areas of revenue development, grant writing, communications and marketing, including Literacy Victoria, Open Space Gallery, Umbrella Society, Story Theatre, Victoria Film Festival, and PGI Canada, among others. Kathy has worked as the Director of Community Engagement for the Greater Victoria Housing Society; more recently Kathy took on the role of Executive Assistant to the CEO of the Children’s Health Foundation of Vancouver Island.
