Nicole is a community builder, a facilitator, a chaos wrangler, and a lover of the arts. She cares deeply about the places and ways people connect meaningfully with each other, whether that be in the halls of a college, on the performance stage, or in the line of a grocery store.
She has spent over a decade perfecting the art of community development, holding a Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Calgary and a Master of Social Development from the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia. Working and living across Canada and around the world have taught her that anything can be accomplished with a good cup of coffee, an honest conversation and a commitment to structural change. Her resume is varied and extensive but her work will always be to create space for voices that aren’t always heard.
If Nicole is not at her desk you’ll find her running the trails, riding her bike, swimming the lakes, marching in a protest, rambling through the forests identifying mushrooms and catching frogs with her kids, knitting, or just sipping a cup of coffee with a good book.
