During seven seasons as an actor and associate director with the Stratford Festival, his credits include: To Kill a Mockingbird (associate director), Fuente Ovejuna, The Winter’s Tale, The Two Gentlemen of Verona, Fiddler on the Roof, Man of La Mancha, Patience, The Three Musketeers, Hello, Dolly! (associate director), The Music Man and The King and I (assistant director).

Stratford Festival Casting Credits: Cabaret; Love’s Labours Lost; The Music Man and The King and I.   Darcy was the Associate Director for Little Women on Broadway (starring Sutton Foster) and the first U.S. national tour (starring Maureen McGovern)

Recent directing credits: As Bees in Honey Drown (Company C); Sleeping Beauty (Sudbury Theatre Centre).

Associate director credits: Heartland (Madison Repertory Theatre, Madison, WI/Dallas Summer Musicals, Dallas, TX) and Not Wanted on the Voyage (CanStage)

Other directing credits: 2,346 Miles from Broadway; The Twilight Players and The Barber Shop.

Favourite Acting Credits: The Who’s Tommy (National Tour, Mirvish Prod.); Spirit of A Nation (National Tour, Original Cast Recording); Chess (The American); Cabaret (Emcee u/s, performed); Pirates of Penzance (Frederic); The Full Monty (Malcolm), Footloose (Canadian première).

Training: BFA in directing, University of Victoria.  Darcy was invited to participate in the inaugural Michael Langham Workshop for Classical Direction by the Stratford Shakespeare Festival, a series of masterclasses and workshops led by Des McAnuff, John Doyle; Gary Griffin, Robin Phillips, Peter Hinton and Marti Maraden.
