Alana Hibbert

Cultural Safety Working Group

Alana is a Dora-nominated actor and singer who has appeared on many stages across Canada. She most recently appeared as Dottie Moffat in the Toronto remount of Caroline or Change (Musical Stage Company). Career highlights include: multiple seasons with the Shaw and Stratford Festivals starring in Ragtime, Trouble in Tahiti, Carousel and The Sound of Music, among others, as well as seven seasons with the Charlottetown Festival. Other favorites are The Mountaintop (Obsidian Theatre); Once on This Island, and Parade (The Musical Stage Company); Mary and Max (Theatre Calgary); and Hair (Canadian Stage). Alana is a graduate of CCPA and Simon Fraser University.  Alana is also an active singing teacher and is currently working on her Masters in Adult Education and Community Development at the University of Toronto with areas of interest in equity and mentorship in arts education.
