June 26, 2017

Victoria, BC – The Canadian College of Performing Arts (CCPA) is excited to announce the list of alumni performers for the upcoming Dedicated to David “A Legendary Evening” of music and dining honouring Grammy Award-winning Canadian musician and icon, David Foster. The event takes place on the eve of Canada’s 150th birthday.

The evening will feature the inaugural presentation of the CCPA’s Legend Award to David Foster, followed by a concert showcasing some of David’s greatest hits performed by acclaimed graduates of the college.

David Foster’s accomplishments as a musician, songwriter, composer and producer are an inspiration to the students and alumni of the CCPA.

“I grew up humming David Foster songs, so to be singing one live – in front of the legend himself – is truly an honour,” said one of the evening’s performers, Lindsay Robinson.

Other CCPA alumni performers will include:

  • Renowned singer/songwriter, Michelle Thibodeau
  • Performer and vocalist, Marlie Collins
  • Performer, Dutchess Cayetano
  • Theater and film performer, Julie Mombourquette
  • Acoustic soul singer/songwriter, Emily Schultz
  • Co-producer of “SHHH” award-winning short film shown at the Cannes Film Festival, Sarah Ann Chisholm

Funds raised will support the CCPA’s mission to provide excellent training in the performing arts at a significantly subsidized rate. There are still a limited number of tickets left at the $500 VIP and $2000 Sponsor level, which can be purchased through Eventbrite.
